Bernese Highlands 2020
24-26th of July
What we offer:
We will meet at the Alpine Museum of Switzerland in Bern on the first day at 9.00 in the morning. There you will learn the basics of outdoor photography and we familiarize ourselves with image editing in Lightroom and Photoshop. As soon as the basics are solidified and the camera settings fit, we will drive together towards Grindelwald. There we have various possibilities to take photos of sunset and sunrise. If the conditions allow us to do so, we will also shoot the night sky together. We will spend the night in the mountain Hotel Faulhorn. On the second and third day, we will explore the Grimsel and Susten area and spend the night at the Berghaus Oberaarsee. For everyone interested we can already edit the first stills together.
The goal of the workshop is to introduce you to our workflow from planning photography tours, shooting the photos, and post-processing them in Photoshop Lightroom. Hopefully, we can create an unforgettable experience together.

Frequently asked questions
What level of photography is required?
The workshop is open to all levels of experience. The only thing we ask is that you bring passion and energy, with the drive to be out in the field every day no matter what the weather is like.
What should I bring?
We will send you a clothing list before the trip. We recommend that you layer up! Bring comfortable clothes for hot days and layers for when it’s colder on an evening. A rain jacket, preferably Gore-tex and a wool under layer will help for any shooting after sunset. Merino socks and hiking boots are your best friend. As the saying goes “there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes”. Temperatures during the day could hit over 25 degrees Celsius and on an evening in the mountains approach 0 degrees Celsius.
Where will we be staying?
Accommodation in mountain lodges (dormitory).
Can I bring a drone?
Of course! Please only use your drone where it is allowed to do so. We would recommend to bring a DJI Mavic sized drone to give you a smooth travel experience. If you are interested we can show you the basics of aerial photo- and videography.
What and where will we eat?
We will eat dinner and breakfast at the mountain lodges. Where and how to eat lunch is up to you.
